We work to prevent child labour
FBMI's education department works to prevent child labour with a positive focus on facilitating education. All children under the age of 15, boys and girls, must attend full-time education and FBMI supervisors work closely with the schools to ensure attendance. There is a total of 14,200 children currently enrolled. In addition, women receive adult life training in health and hygiene, literacy, numeracy, and vocational subjects.

Principles
Our education department works in tandem with the Ministry of Education to ensure the following principles are upheld:
- The prevention of child labour as one of our core policies.
- Children to be in education full time.
- Construction of on-site nurseries where possible.
- Females receive adult life training in health and hygiene, literacy, numeracy, and vocational subjects.
